A significant percentage of Canadians do the same. A large percentage (I forget the exact number) of Canadians live within a relatively short distance from the US border—100 miles perhaps? I’m forgetting the exact numbers, but a Canadian journalist told me this a long time ago. They can get here relatively easily and do.

The map of the world at night shows where most Canadians live. Most of their country is dark, more than 100 miles north of the border, with just scattered pinpoints of light..
