Michigan is a pretty tax burdened state. They are offering lots of incentives to “new” businesses wanting to relocate to MI but are taxing the existing economy to death. It’s a liberal bastion of socialism (by midwest standards). Indiana is doing pretty well as a result of having neighbors like MI and IL.
Too bad. It’s a beautiful state with great people.

We moved our business, families and extended families out of the state about 11 years ago and never looked back. I loved Michigan, grew up there and never thought I would want to live anywhere else. Then I bought a house and started understanding things like “Personal Property Tax” and “Mils” and how it affected my lifestyle. Moved to Martinsville (I know, no jokes please, we didn’t research well enough) and after the culture shock wore off we found we were far happier here than ever in Michigan.

Marxism promises pie in the sky. It delivers poverty and misery. The truth is there for all to see.

Well, at least Jeff Daniels got some work out of it. We hear those ads all the time here in Georgia. Riiiiight, people here are going to give up low tax and right to work for your union paradise.
Good “fabulous ruins of Detroit” for a vision of the future.
