Define “pit bull”. If you define it as Staffordshire terriers, please give a verified, documented case of an AKC registered Staffordshire Bull Terrier causing the death of a human being in the United States.

Yeah, I agree that would be a difficult thing because you can cross them, but they have laws against harboring wolves, and you can cross wolves too. What it all comes down to is that the authorities would have a legal basis to take your dog if they thought that it was part pit bull. You’d probably still have difficulty getting a conviction though, unless you were dealing with a dog that the owner knew was a pit bull.
