A family down the street has two pit bulls. They got them as puppies and now they're full grown. I didn't think anything about it since they seemed to be treated ok. They get walked, played with in the yard, etc. But the other day when I was walking my dog, the man came out with the dogs, and the two dogs began viciously fighting with each other. The man was in the middle and he kicked them both with his rollerblade. The dogs stopped.

I'm of two minds here... one, the guy is a jackass for kicking his dogs, esp. with skates. And two, two pit bulls in the same house- only one will survive. Should I be worried? I only see them on the bike paths when they are being walked and they steer clear.

Should you be worried? I don't know. It sounds like the owner isn't very responsible or educated as anyone owning multiple pit bulls should know they are often naturally animal aggressive; however, I will emphasize that animal aggression and human aggression are two different things entirely.
