Make sure you visit the Museum of Appalachia some day. Can’t remember the name of the town but it’s just off I-75 in Tennessee, not far below the Kentucky line. Wonderful place.

I pack my stainless Blackhawk in the woods and when things get rough it picks up a lot of moisture and dirt and pitch and all manner of other icky stuff. Good thing about stainless is the finish is durable and cleans easy, but if I have to go a day or two without a thorough cleaning and oiling it will get little spots of rust that need to be polished away.
The old Glock 17 has been in some tough environments as well, and winters in an unheated (though dry) cache space, but comes out looking like new every year.
Compared to these finishes, the blue stuff needs a lot of TLC.

You have 16 foot bayonets?? Wow. How did you get them in the house?
If you think that’s something, ask him to show you the rifles that they go on!

My first thought was the NRA was trying to copy the Gideons.

Good thing Im not a criminal. The MSM would have a field day as the BATF carried my Arsenal out to their vans. You only think you're not a criminal. Congress and/or the BATFE might have other notions. Citizens' RKBA is never safe when Congress is in session.

Heck, I can just hang out at the local mini market here, and get a ton of history from the locals...(chuckle)
Seriously, thanks I’ll try to check it out some time.
