Good.

Not so fast. As with everything else that has occurred in the history of the nanny state, a law that applies to only certain people or certain situations will eventually apply to everyone. This "only teenagers" thing is simply the way to get everyone used to the idea, then they pass the law telling all adults that they aren't allowed to use cell phones while driving either. This is not a guess, or a wild prediction. This is an absolute certainty.

We'll still have some who say "good, all drivers should be banned from using cell phones", but I would like to know why that is a good idea, aside from the fact that it is simply annoying to see people do that. Shall we ban applying lipstick? Combing hair? Eating? At what point do we decide that the government has quite enough say in our daily lives?

The law banning adults from cell phone use, without hands free devices, while driving has already been passed in California. I think it takes effect next year.

Yep. The concept of personal responsibility is being replaced with the nanny state, at great expense to the taxpayer. Everyone should take a long, hard look at what is going on in the UK. Do we really want to go there? Apparently, California does.......

phone calls last far longer than those infractions. Maybe if they were eating a stick of lipstick the entire length of their journey.
