Success in L.A.
Ron Paul 2008 ^ | September 13, 2007 | Kent Snyder

Posted on 09/13/2007 4:16:12 PM PDT by NapkinUser

Los Angeles enthusiastically received Ron Paul yesterday!

The fundraising reception in the morning was a great success. It was held at the Ritz Carlton in Pasadena and tickets were $500 per person. Sold out!

After the breakfast, Dr. Paul went to a nearby university. He met with a group of students and press. He then spoke at a rally outside on campus. A police officer estimated the crowd to be between 700-900 people. They cheered Dr. Paul time and time again. Students and professors in the surrounding buildings had windows opened and listened too.

After the rally, Dr. Paul attended a fundraising reception on campus. Tickets were $500 per person for the event. Sold out!

Yesterday evening, Dr. Paul attended a fundraising dinner at the home of Bill Johnson. Tickets were $2,000 per person. Sold out!

Dr. Paul and staff then traveled to San Francisco arriving about 1:00 am this morning. It will be another busy day.

Most people who are libertarians are the ones who are confused. They use it as a label because it seems cool. The problem with most self-described libertarians Bill Maher, Johnathan Alter, Ron Paul is that they are libertarian on things they don’t want the government to be involved in. However, they are statist on the things they want the government to be involved in.

You’re statement is interesting. Factually false but interesting nonetheless. You think I embraced certain aspects of ideology to be ‘cool’?

I used to think they were the answer. Then the bozo's like this idiot started appearing. My thoughts back then were about eliminating the tax code, eliminating big government and eliminating the left wing mentality.

I finally grew up.

I'm not sure what to make of that post. It sounds like you were right but you finally gave up. No offense intended.

Unfortunately for Paul’s campaign, the former Lyndon La Rouche groupies seem to have adopted him as their new champion - I saw a car in San Francisco today covered with Ron Paul stickers and posters, and it looked like the same La Rouche crowd I have seen working previous elections. That may be where his tiny bump in support is coming from.

How many tickets were sold?

Why do you care? You'll just say that Code Pink and MoveOn.org bought them anyway.

Point is only this. Libertarians are thinking they can start over with new government. It would really take a Civil War to make that happen. If we simply elect Conservatives with strong leadership that challenge the idiots things can possibly change.

Do you guys think ron paul will win any states during the primaries? do you think his internet legions have the ability to turn out at a percentage that’s higher than what we’ve seen in all the polls?

I’d not bashing you guys, I just want to hear what you think a realistic turnout will be for Paul when Super Primary Day rolls around.

I'm not sure I understand your point. I'm not being sarcastic. I don't understand.

You ‘used to be a libertarian’ according to your previous posts. Is that correct?
