How about suing them making an illegal campaign donation to the Dems?

How about suing them making an illegal campaign donation to the Dems?

If the campaign contribution was recorded as going to the DNC as an organization, I believe it would be considered "soft money" and would not be limited in amount. However, the DNC (or whatever the receiving organization was) would have to report it to the FEC.

So the contribution itself would not be illegal.

Now that I've stated that, I welcome comments or corrections from the (professional or amateur) election lawyers out there.
