Do you really think the slimes care? Do you think anyone is going to care about their hypocrisy? Best thing would be to pay full price and call them out. Asking for a bargain gives a way out for them.

Tell me, is there anyone left in the US that has not figured out the NYT is partisan?

This is pure pandering by Rooty to look tough. Everyone knows the NYT hates him and all people sporting an R. Even if they swing liberal like Rooty.

Rudy was ON THE BALL on this one.
Credit where credit is due.
And if the NYT were irrelevant we wouldn’t have to fight them so hard.

Ruthless Rudy - yeah!
I just read on National Review Online that he already has his ad ready to go. It basically asks, who do you trust more, Petraeus or the Dims? Headline is quote from Hillary: “Willing Suspension of Disbelief.”

... go to NRO and check it out.

Yawn.

Who gives a merde, unless you are a "hate Hillary" fetishist.

So Rudy’s clamoring to give the NYT $65,000?

Wouldn't you buy a brand new Cadillac for half price from Cindy Sheehan?

Your comment is obtuse and myopic. Every other GOP candidate had the opportunity to do the same. Giuliani was quick and smart to expose the NYT for its apparent political donation.

Here is what the WSJ has uncovered regarding what the N.Y. Times did:

"If a company sells an ad worth $167,000 for $65,000, then, that would be an in-kind contribution of $102,000. Corporate contributions to PACs are illegal under the campaign finance laws the Times itself has long championed: "Corporations and labor organizations are prohibited from making contributions in connection with federal elections," according to the FEC. (A corporation may set up and administer a "separate segregated fund," or a corporate PAC, which receives contributions from people associated with the company, but it may not contribute to its own SSF or any other federally registered PAC.)"

Has Fred Thompson said anything this week about DemocRATS who ranted and raved against Gen. Petraeus? Rep.Lantos, Madam Hillary and others were giving aid and comfort to the enemy and should be held accountable.

No, you are the delusional one, wishing to make Rooty a hero once again. The news broke about the cheap deal moveon got well before Rooty’s announcement. It has been news for at least two days now.

The only surprise to anyone was that moveon had to pay anything at all.

Come on, Rooty is a well known opportunist. That is no surprise to anyone either. Nice try.

Rudy is not my pick for the White House but I really like what he’s doing. I wouldn’t vote for him but I’d buy him a beer.

By the way, my candidate, Duncan Hunter, was the first to speak out. He was very eloquent, but he was not given the credit.

Funny how people don’t seem to remember.

There's nothing wrong with Republicans "sniping" at one another at this stage of the game. That's what seclecting a nominee by a primary process entails.

It will not harm our chances in '08, so long as we can focus on the common enemy by next spring. And with Her Royal Thighness as that likely common enemy, there will be a great incentive for the GOP to unify behind our candidate.

Is he going to run an ad for the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) or maybe the Stonewall Veterans Association? Gotta return the favor for their unwaivering support during his campaigns for Mayor.

...who reads the NYT's that may vote Republican?

I'm sure there are Republicans out there who do read the NYT, if only to pick up on the enemy's thinking and strategy.

BTW, up until the 1950s or so, the NYT was considered a "Republican" newspaper.

Rudy's a liberal.

Easy to be simplistic...however, not true.

Liberals don't defend Gen. Petraeus.
