Miami-Dade police swept through a residential neighborhood looking for the shooting suspect

Two Miami-Dade police officers have been injured in a so-called Tactical Operation gone bad in Cutler Bay.
This is currently a developing story that began at SW 281st Street and 143rd Court in Cutler Bay where the two officers were possibly shot, reportedly with an assault rifle.
Other officers may have also been hurt but only with minor injuries.
At least one officer has been transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
After the shooting, one suspect barricaded himself inside a building at 280th Street and Southwest 143RD Court.
The other suspect took off in a White Honda Accord and began driving on the Turnpike and led police on a short chase before he bailed out at 222nd Street and SW 110th Avenue.
That suspect, described as a chubby white man with long black hair remains on the loose.
Broward County police agencies have been alerted to the shooting of the Miami-Dade Officers.

News has been reporting that the perp used to live in this neighborhood and is familiar with the area.

Today is the first day of Ramadan and Rosh A Shana (sp).
Miami-Dade police are currently looking for Kevin Wehner, 30 years of age, DOB 10.26.76, a black male involved in the confirmed shooting of four(4) MD police officers (1 dead, 1 female critical in surgery, 2 no status yet) around 11:05 AM this morning during a burglary ring stake out. Over 125 MD police officers are currently involved in the manhunt for Wehner. Eyewitness reports said Wehner was heavily drugged when he opened fired on MD police, with a semi-automatic weapon, after they pulled his car over for erratic driving in the stakeout area (MDPD had been working this area for about 30 days). Wehner escaped on foot and the weapon used was found in his car.

Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Alvarez is a 28-yr veteran of the police dept .. he’s burning about this.

Multiple assault rifles purchased in March. This does just not make sense. There is something else going on beyond say the guy being on PCP or something.
I don’t know much about Alvarez. Anyone have any opinions on whether or not Alvarez is any better than his predecessor?
I’m not buying those are the same guy.
Look at the upper lip. It looks much larger and thicker on the guy in the original pic.
the two pictures are two different men. There is no question in my mind. Look at the different distance between nose and mouth. And the different size of eyes, ears and chin.
