That has to be BS. It's impossible to try ANYTHING more than 600 times and still fail. Maybe one of those attempts was somebody sending Castro a box of 300 toxic cigars, so they count that as 300 attempts rather than one attempt...

How did he verify them all to be poisoned? Did the greedy rat bastage even consider that, maybe, he was supposed to share those cigars with his buddies, associates and visiting dignitaries?
