Senate Democratic leaders today called the Bush administrations plan to keep 130,000 or more troops in Iraq through mid-2008 unacceptable and promised to challenge the approach through legislation next week.

Well of COURSE they’re going to challenge the Bush plan!

Have you noticed how the ems have reframed the Petraeus recommendations? He spoke of gradually withdrawing 30,000 and said he could not see any farther out. He did not "plan to keep 130,000 or more troops in Iraq through mid-2008". He said he could not plan for them yet, because that is too far away.
This kind of deliberate misrepresentation is not fair to people who don't have time to follow this all like bulldogs.
