This is a very strange thing for Schumer to say. So then, there are times when you want someone with a political background, and other times when you want someone who puts the rule of law first? Shouldn’t any AG put the rule of law first? And isn’t it a given that any president will appoint a political ally to the job?

Will Schumer hold Hillary’s AG nominee to the same standard, if he gets to confirm said nominee?

Of course not! They never made a peep about Janet Reno. From Waco to Elian Gonzalez, I don't think she was too familiar with the rule of law. Even before being AG she made her reputation on very questionable child abuse cases....

The words Hillary and rule of law in the same sentence are just laughable! Maybe Sandy Burglar can be her AG nominee.
