Reid is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. His reaction to a genuine AG, one who would roll and do his job in spite of the democrat assaults on him, means that the DEMS are worried sick about their bag man Jeffersons ( Louisiana Rep) and the Hillary Clinton Hsu problems, which have a China connection.
Reid wants a Maleable AG, who will do the Dems bidding, just like Hastert did in the house on Jefferson.
Sorry Harry, its payback time for Tom DeLay!
Ted Olsen will make a fine AG , even if by recess appointment.
Harry Reid trembles in fear!

No, Harry Reid has been winning elections in NV for at least thirty years. I think he once defeated Paul Laxalt. People in NV believe in Harry Reid.

Agreed. The WH needs to announce Ted as their choice and then go on a media selling program that lays out his qualifications and the fact that he lost his wife in the 9/11 attacks. The work he has done as Solicitor General. He may still not get Dem's approval but a proactive PR campaign in his favor would make the Dem's look even worse. But of course this WH has no clue how to use the press.

Yeah, incredible isn’t it?...after getting absolutely tortured for 8 years by that son of a dog Clinton you would think that from Day One back in power the Reps would have been chomping at the bit...Instead we get: ‘Good morning ladies and gentlemen of the Texas House...oops...i mean, of the press.....say- is that a seersucker suit...man, does this room ever need painting, yee-haw’....Andy, come here boy...

I can’t figure it out. I sometimes think it is just pure arrogance. We did so therefore it is ok. The MSM is now so entrenched against Reps the next reps president - if there ever is one - will be a a great disadvantage over what Bush has done.
