Yup. They're having some historic droughts right in the path of this storm.
It'll be a relief for them.

Hurricanes have traditionally ended droughts in this country.

There was a bad one in the Midwest in 1988, and a hurricane that hit Mexico brought moisture and ended the drought in Minnesota/Wisconsin, as I recall.
