That's certainly debateable.
The primary right all humans were endowed with by their creator is the right to life. Obviously, without life, none of the other rights matter.
Seems very strange to me that some think it is constitutional to allow the taking of innocent life.
IMO, condoning, nay, PROMOTING abortion at the federal level gives states a free pass on this issue. RP talks about actively seeking to overthrow R v. W, which would be a monumental advancement.
Murder is NOT a legitimate federal crime. It is a STATE matter. But Dr. Paul has introduced a bill which would define life as starting at conception and then removes jurisdiction from the Federal Courts to hear cases opposing STATE laws protecting that life. If I recall my facts correctly.
You won't find it in the Constitution, though. In that document, which delineates the powers that Fedgov might exercise, quite a few life-and-death powers were reserved the the states.
