Larry Flynt keeps Vitter in his crosshairs

Hustler publisher Larry Flynt took a fresh jab on Tuesday at scandal-plagued Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), administering a lie detector test to a New Orleans prostitute who contends that she and Vitter had a relationship in 1999.

Vitter has denied extramarital relations with Wendy Cortez, who appeared with Flynt in Los Angeles to address reporters. Flynt said the lie detector offers 99.9 percent proof that Cortez, whose ties to Vitter have long set tongues wagging in Louisiana, is telling the truth.

“I don’t want him to apologize to me. I want him to apologize to everybody that he’s lied to,” Cortez said. She referred to Vitter’s wife, also named Wendy, who famously said she would emulate scorned wife Lorena Bobbitt if Vitter were ever unfaithful.

In Louisiana they have a saying: “We don’t expect good politics from our politicians, but we do expect good entertainment”.

The fact that he is alive is answer enough. But of course, Larry would not go there anyway. . .'rat' that he is; he knows the Party that serves his interests best.

Worse than pond-scum; more gross than sludge; nastier than vermin. . .and still cannot get to the core of Larry. . .

Uh...hasn't he done this already, publicly and privately? Please do try to keep up, Ms. Cortez.

They don't vote? And we don't know whom they support?

So, ABC was given the list. .. one of 'their's' or a friendly peer? (Surely no one at Fox News, for sure. . .)

Interesting that the only targets know so far; and it has been a while. ..are a couple of Repubs. (Or so I am thinking. . .could be wrong here. . .)

Vitter should resign — right after Barney Frank does! Remember, Frank admitted having sex with a MALE prostitute, and it was apparently so good that he moved the guy into his home as his BOYFRIEND — and the hustler ran a prostitution business out of Barney’s house! Even if Vitter did everything he’s accused of, that is NOTHING compared to this. It’s not OK just because Frank has been re-elected — a Vitter resignation would deny him the same opportunity that Frank enjoyed to get re-elected.

Nope - he apologized for his DC Madam capers, because of the undeniable evidence against him in that case. He's still denying (i.e. lying about) any involvement with Cortez.

This serial adulterer will continue to lie to the public for as long as he believes it will save his political career. Vitter is no better than Larry Craig. In fact, he may be worse than Craig since there's a chance that Craig really is in denial about his sexual orientation, whereas Vitter is just lying to save his own a**.

So we should only hold our Republican elected officials up to the same moral standard as the Democrats now, is that it?

I've never really understood the attraction of that argument.

So it's no big deal to betray the women you solemnly pledged to be faithful to the rest of your life? Put yourself in his wife's shoes, or his children's and say that again.

I couldn't care less about what Frank has done. If an elected official willfully breaks the most important promise of his life made to the person he professes to love more than anything else in the world time and time again, how are we supposed to trust him on anything?

Larry Flynt, now there’s a fitting candidate for Vice President of the Democratic party. Larry Flynt is one guy that could fit in a room full Clintons and Kennedys and not stand out. Further from the latest pictures I’ve seen of Ted Kennedy he’s looking more and more like Larry Flynt.
