Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and the city unfairly dismissed two police officers, a jury found Tuesday, capping a 15-day whistleblower lawsuit that churned out allegations of misdeeds by the mayor's staff and extramarital affairs by Kilpatrick.
The 11-member jury awarded Gary Brown and Harold Nelthrope $6.5 million in damages.

THey are entitled to 4 years of back interest from the day they filed the case.
And possibly attorney fees.
So the defense attorney said... they could be looking at a total of $10 million.
Once you tack on $6.5 base + interest + fees.
As long as Kilpatrick is black and only has extramarital affairs with legal adults, the Dems will have a place for him if he wants one.
That's if they appeal and it takes another couple of years.

Heck, the judgment will probably be paid by the taxpayers. Who thinks Kilpatrick will ante up?

I think Gov. Coupe DeVal Patrick tried to shaft the MA taxpayers with an unfavorable lease on a Caddie.
He wasn't happy with the state motor pool issued Ford.
