And I read yesterday that ATT may have been too hasty in dumping the Cingular brand and may resurrect it...

“You are always concerned when you lose an engine, but we don’t feel the problems that we have experienced are something that will have an effect on our program as we head into the Chase,” said Richie Gilmore, who oversees the engine program at Dale Earnhardt Inc.

Truex has experienced only two engine failures this season, none in the last seven races as he’s registered six finishes of 15th or better.

Earnhardt has had as many engine failures the past seven races as he had the past four years combined.

Yep good luck with that. The RO7 engine was in the test cars at Dega this past week, not the new DEI/RCR which was supposed to be debuting at that race. Although, IMO it’s dangerous to bring out either the RO7 or the new merge engine now........one car at DEI is still in the Chase. [their engine department is so far behind] So, they might consider being careful with his engines. Give them to the R&D driver, you know the step-child guy. /sarc. I don’t want his safety put in jeopardy again with any more cr@p equipment.

BTW in that same article it mentions that all cars with have the RO7 engine at Louden. :( Note: as some get confused that is not the merge engine but the one Menard and Tony Jr both said they never wanted to see in their cars again. So, my question is how much worse can it be than the SB2 engine that likes to blow up with the checkered flag nearing?

I hope he's kidding. Applied in the wrong place compressed air can kill a man by exploding his colon. Nozzles are now required by OSA to have bypass ports on the side to prevent prevent serious injury...

Wooohooo! Thanks a bunch, It's rare to see Matt off the track. I'll be sure to set my DVR.

You should go on Nancy Grace. You probably are more knowledgeable than most of the talking heads and NASCAR FReepers would go wild!! :)
