I was thinking of those who died earlier today. Thanks for this lovely post.
The first report popped up on Free Republic before the radio news mentioned something in New York a minute or so later.
I turned on Fox Cable News and then CNN as well, as I watched, numb, for the next 2+ hours.
I got to watch the doofus say: "Another plane just accidentally hit the second tower! What are the odds of that?"
I was 90 minutes late for work that day, after sliding a new 6-hour tape into the VCR, and most workers that morning were crowded around a TV in a conference room, watching snowy images (no regular cable connection there) until well past noon PDT. Needless to say, that night was spend glued to the set.
I remember thinking then that we, the American people, were being denied the raw TV feed, while the rest of the world was not.
I still boil inside when I realize that nanny government denied me the full horror and reality of what happened that day.
Would it make me any angrier and resolved today? I doubt that's possible.
Once the anger and disgust vessel is full, all else is wasted.
But it is enough.
Islam can dissimulate, lie, continue their barbarism the rest of my life; No retribution will ever be enough. I hope to see some real and merciless response eventually that they will remember forever.
They seem determined along the same lines.
NEVER FORGET!
