I was watching the coverage when the second plane went in. I knew it was an attack at that point. I decided to drive into work, and heard about the south tower coming down on the radio. Once at work, I spent the day here.
I think a lot of us stayed sane that day because of FR.
“I think a lot of us stayed sane that day because of FR.”
I was leaving home early, just backing out of the drive, when I heard about it in the car. I thought it was a mistake or that I tuned in mid-quote of something else. I had missed the first tower hit earlier while preparing to leave the house.
Then the second tower hit was broadcast and I knew it was real. I had to pull over to cry. I was able to make it to work so I could call my hubby Rockstar, to see if he might be recalled. We thought he would be even though he was 45.
Soon after, living in a military town, we heard of many career soldiers re-enlisting, some with their sons and grandsons. I cannot describe how that makes me feel.
