A good chance to see Ron outside the debate format. Not good.

Ron Paul and Bill O'Reilly video
We are truly blessed to be in the presence of such greatness. I am as humbled as I would be if I were on Olympus at the feet the the gods themselves...
Well, his military record is pretty straightforward. I find it interesting he was in Iran but no indication he was overseas long enough at any time to get to know those countries extremely well. This was a period when the Shah was more popular in his country and around the world, seen as a bulwark against Soviet expansionism, at least in the West. Likewise, relations with Turkey and South Korea were quite good during the Cold War era, South Korea still in recovery from the war devastation. I can't recall what we were doing in Ethiopia in the mid-Sixties though.
Paul's medical training was interrupted when he was drafted during the Cuban Missile Crisis into the United States Air Force. He remained in the military during the early years of the Vietnam War.[31] He was never sent to Vietnam, instead serving active duty (19631965) that took him to other countries, including South Korea, Iran, Ethiopia and Turkey.[1] He served as a flight surgeon out of Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, from 1963 to 1965, attending to the ear, nose and throat problems of pilots.[1] He then served in the Air National Guard from 1965 to 1968 while completing his medical residency in Pittsburgh.[32] He achieved rank of captain during his service in the Air Force.[33]
We have made the Saudi’s very wealthy, and they are major funders of the islamic radicals. They are also major corrupters of the Republican party, and have an destructive influence on the white house and many republicans. Instead of trying to counter the Saudi’s influence in the middle east and globally our current crop of corrupt republicans and democrats are promoting their agenda with our legislation and our armed forces.
Look at that, folks...there's an enemies list now, and we're all on it.
Cool, huh? I for one am proud to be on the list. My firm belief in constitutional government hasn't gone unnoticed.

The interview of Paul by Alex Jones of prisonplanet is very revealing. Paul is a conspiracy nut.
Before Gen. David Petraeus' report, and to give it a context of optimism, the president visited Iraq's Anbar province to underscore the success of the surge in making some hitherto anarchic areas less so. More significant, however, was the fact that the president did not visit Baghdad. This underscored the fact that the surge has failed, as measured by the president's and Petraeus' standards of success.
Those who today stridently insist that the surge has succeeded also say they are especially supportive of the president, Petraeus and the military generally. But at the beginning of the surge, both Petraeus and the president defined success in a way that took the achievement of success out of America's hands.

What "forced" America to go to war in 2003 -- the "gathering danger" of weapons of mass destruction -- was fictitious. That is one reason why this war will not be fought, at least not by Americans, to the bitter end. The end of the war will, however, be bitter for Americans, partly because the president's decision to visit Iraq without visiting its capital confirmed the flimsiness of the fallback rationale for the war -- the creation of a unified, pluralist Iraq.
Guess George hasn't read your document links either....
Absolutely. Ron Paul served honorably in the Air Force and in the Air National Guard from 1963-1968.
There is no need to use misleading claims like "Vietnam combat flight surgeon" to describe his military career.
Anyone reading that gobbledygook would assume that Ron Paul had served in Vietnam or in combat, and he did neither.
Why bolster his actual, respectable military resume with lies and fabrications?
To me, the Ron Paul/Alex Jones/PrisionPlanet connection pretty much puts a nail in the coffin that Paul isn’t connected to the 9.11Truth movement. Plus, the fact he keeps going back to them for more and more interviews.
Right, because we all know that prisonplanet is a reliable source that never cherrypicks quotes or misrepresents . . .
Would you consider prisonplanet reliable in all its “reporting” or just on the stuff it “reports” that you agree with?
Relying on prisonplanet and infowars? And you guys call Paul supporters conspiracy nuts?
*crack!*
Damn, there goes another irony meter.
Next thing you know you’ll be trotting out shat from commondreams . . .
Enemies list, don’t flatter yourselves...
Try a cast list for an online variety show “The Ron Paul Comedy Hour”
If only it was just an hour though...
The point wasn't that we are using info from them but that Paul goes to them for interviews.. ie, Paul associates himself with them..
I do favor constitutional government, however, and I see that slipping away. Republicans don't even want it any more. I think that's a problem. Whether Ron Paul is the answer is an entirely different question, but regardless we need an answer.
The base isn't unhappy for no reason at all.
You are right, not all of the ‘border security’ bills are specifically amnesty, a lot were right after 9.11 when the debate was going on as to put the military/National Guard on the border to strengthen that.. I think a lot of people use Amnesty as a blanket statement for anything to do with border security or immigration.
As to the abortion issue, we may get into a big disagreement here because a lot of people, including myself, believe that when a crime crosses State lines, it becomes a Federal issue...
I figure I’ll lay those cards out now..
