I have no defense for the NEA. I am not, nor have I ever been a member.

I have no defense for Planned Parenthood. I have not, nor have I ever been a supporter.

I do not have the power to take one penny away from any other citizen in the United States. The officials elected have that power.

I have my own opinion of vouchers, but that is not the subject, therefore, I will not express my opinion at this time.

I do not and have never defended public schools as a whole. I have defended the ones that my children attended. I've read enough anecdotes and heard first-hand accounts of some schools that should be razed to the ground.

You and I are indeed free to post anything we like to whomever we like. As was made clear in another thread. FR does not have a 'bozo filter' as they are for wimps. However, if you wish to converse with me, you will do so in the manner of my choosing, as I am not required to post back to you.

Your empty, useless, needless rhetoric continues. It does not have to be this way. I have had numerous civil conversations with many home-schoolers, including the ones you pinged in this post. If we lived near each other and time allowed us to do so, I believe I would be friends with both of those pinged as I value their opinions and respect their level-headedness.

Back to the subject at hand, and my original post to which you picked out of all them to which to respond, if you think that because you home-school your children are 'safe' from terrorists then you are lying to yourself. We are all at risk because we are Americans, not because we use public transportation, public schools, work in an office building, shop at a mall, or attend a church. Some of the terrorists plans even indicate drive-by killings at golf courses. Others, to sporting events, airports, office buildings, and yes public schools were also included on the list. I do not choose to live my life in fear. I will go to work tomorrow just like every other day, as will my husband.

Should you wish to post back to me using non-inflammatory language, I would congratulate you for a thought-out reasoned post and then respond in kind and perhaps we would find that there are areas in which we could learn from each other. But life is too short for me to worry with teaching another adult the art of reasoned arguments.

I have my tagline for a reason. There is indeed truth in it.

Have a nice day.

Safer. And not just from terrorists. You have only to google the words "school threat" to see the tons of hits just in the last few weeks.

You persist in imagining that I want a "conversation" with you. You have long proven to be a supporter of gummint skeweling. Therefore, there is nothing to discuss. When you defend them, I will attack them. Since I have no need for your responses, I certainly have no desire to knuckle under to your pretentious demands nor will I. AND, if parents were not willing to abandon their children to gummint skewels, gummint officials would look pretty silly stealing money from taxpayers to support empty skewels and would not last long in office.

Look in the mirror when you read your tagline. You are arguing with you (understandably).

Appreciating the kind words ... :-).

I see this as more of a Second Amendment issue. When I was in public high school in the 1980’s, some of my teachers had guns.
