Believe what you want to believe, especially if it sets will with your mindset of government schools being evil, but I do not for a moment think public schools are the only target. If you do, then you are being foolish. Americans are targets wherever we congregate, because we are Americans, not because of how we educate or children, or where we shop, or pass our leisure time. We are all targets, because we are all Americans.

If you are going to engage me in any type of discussion, it will only be when you drop the hyperbole and hateful rhetoric and the very, VERY silly cutesy names that you have come up with. I find those almost impossible to follow and not at all funny. That is if you wish to engage in conversation. If you do not wish to engage, then please, add me to your ignore list and I will do the same.

I will be glad to ignore you when you stop letting the fact IIRC that you were once spanked (which was wrong in method) in a Christian school get in the way of common sense to such a degree that you feel compelled to defend gummint skewels at every instance.

If you like, you can show me and everyone else he evidence that the National Education (sic) Association is NOT a leftist institution reflexively antiAmerican and opposed to Judaeo-Christian values, that Planned Barrenhood has not influenced gummint skewel curricula generally and that TAX-PAID gummint skewels are not the parochial skewels and training grounds of the leftist enemies of this country and of the religious values of most Americans.

You have a right to educate or miseducate your children as you see fit. You do NOT have a right to tax others to fund the specific antiAmerican and antiChristian choice you have made any more than Catholic families like mine have a right to tax you for our schools or to support homeschooling. Like any other welfare recipient, you defend your ill-gotten subsidies. Don't expect them not to be attacked by those forced at the point of the gummint's gun to subsidize the disgrace that is PS 666. And , NO, I don't believe in vouchers either.

It wasn't a religious school that was grabbed by the Islamofascisti in Russia but a gummint skewel there too.

You and I are free to post here. Neither of us is free to post and to demand no response. If you cannot articulate a defense of your precious gummint skewels, that is understandable and to be expected given their nature. If you don't choose to make whatever defense may be possible, that is your choice. Gummint skewels remain an enemy of America and of faith in any event.

I don't think that gummint skewels are the only target, just the primary one. If you see busloads of Orthodox Jewish grammar school children blown up by the Islamofascisti, you will either understand that they will target gummint skewels here or you will wear blinders.

As to my choice of words: "Gummint skewels" is a phrase and pronunciation of despicably pro-gummint skewel retired US Senator Fritz Hollings. The rest are my own. I will word my posts my way and you word yours as you see fit. We are not here empowered to edit one another.

I am interested in opposing any defense of gummint skewels by you or anyone else, and in attacking them as the evil institutions that they surely are. If you choose to ignore me, I could not care less. When someone wishes to defend the indefensible, there is no purpose in "conversation." Instead, there is reason to denounce error (remembering that we are to hate the sin and not the sinner). If you defend gummint socialized skeweling, I will, to that extent, not ignore your posts. If you were ever to post something actually conservative, I would probably have no reason to respond except to congratulate particularly commendable posts of that sort.

The late and greater Mayor Daley told the press and media in 1968: "I have been vilified. I have been crucified. I have even been CRITICIZED!!!" He was not the last to have been troubled by such concerns or, apparently, to feel an unjustified sense of deprivation of "rights" not his to complain about.

Yes, but the schools are SOFT TARGETS.

Think about an elementary school. How many guns are there. How many security personnel are there? How many veterans and off-duty police officers are walking around inside?

Of course someone could pull off an attack on a mall; it was even planned by a guy here in NW Illinois who was going to attack a mall with a semi-auto pistol and grenades at the height of Christmas shopping last year. But a mall jsut isn't as soft as a school, and we know that terror groups have been caught with school floor plans. And that's if you forget that they've already done it once, at Beslan.
