Both correct.

The Academic Left, which makes up 60% of leftist politicians and 90% of leftist media talking heads and University types will preach tolerance.

However, most Joe Schmoe Democrat voters are NOT academic liberals, they’re what I call “mislead” liberals. They vote Democrat because it “feels good” to do so, but deep down, they’re still patriots. They WILL be on the side of freedom if this happens.

People are doing too much emotional thinking about what the response to a Beslan X n in this country would be. Yes, there would be a surge of outrage and anger the likes of which this country has never know. But, the government would still operate in a PC-mode. I know, just know that after the police secured other schools, the first deployment of SWAT teams and National Guard would be to protect mosques and Muslim populations NO MATTER HOW MANY AMERICAN CHILDREN WERE KILLED. As there would be no particular Muslim country responsible directly, no massive retaliation of any kind would happen. And the fears that we would be cut off from our oil supplies would cause the strategic planners to not even propose that kind of thing. The government would bellow very loudly about the immorality and evil of the actions, but in the end, nothing dramatic would be done. Sad, really, but I think that is closer to a realistic projection of the events this particular act were entail.
