Could just be media on hyper alert due to 9/11 anniversary, reporting things that would otherwise pass below the radar.

However...hope for the best, plan for the worst.

A truck carrying explosives for the mining industry

Ah, well.... So much for the "terrorist illegal aliens" spin. Many folks will be so disappointed.

The only difference between this year’s 9/11 (tomorrow) and every 9/11 anniversary before it is that tomorrow’s 9/11 is the first 9/11 since the original 9/11 to occur on a Tuesday.

I don’t know if that is significant in anyway to the Islamofascists.

the story that was going to happen.

and “Osama” promised a “gift” in the recent tape.....from the map I just saw on Fox, it looks like this incident occurred just inside messico.......at this time I would guess that if this load of dynamite made it to the intended location it would have been the “gift”.

Time to militarily control our borders! There is no legitimate reason for anyone to import messican (or perhaps chinese) dynamite into the US.

AOL said it left a 10ft by 40ft crater.

Something odd here...contrary to what most people think, dynamite isn’t that easy to detonate. It doesn’t go boom when burned...ya gotta have a detonator...blasting caps, etc. NORMALLY, one does NOT ship detonators with 25-tons of dynamite...NORMALLY.

it left a 10ft by 40ft crater.

That’s a helluva hole, considering that dynamite was 5 feet or so above the concrete road on a trailer bed......gotta wonder what that much dynamite might have done inside a large building if detonated in the lobby or however far into the building it might have gotten

I wouldn’t go after Turkey if I was AQ, Mexico’s oil lines have been hit before by locals, and the dynamite truck blast just seems odd, but still, you get a ping on the threat receiver, you pass it on...

FNC just reported a massive explosion in Mexico “terror related, sabotaged” Same incident??

NEVER believe a Fox story that contradicts other reports. It is ALWAYS the incorrect one!

Hey...we’re dealing with Mexicans...
I wouldn’t allow them to haul my arse out of a bar. LOL
Yet Bush has no problem letting them haul goods across America on our roads...but what does he care;
he has an escort, body guards and a driver for the rest of his life...

You mean, “normally IN AMERICA” ;)

Mexico is a completely different world.
Vehicle standards.
DOT - what’s that?
And it wouldn’t be rare for Mexicans to try to use old, sweaty dynamite to save a buck or two.

Can’t wait to dodge Mexican truckers here like I do in Mexico.

Yeah, I know, I drive I-35 everyday, the main Mexico Road, the modern day Sante Fe trail.

“It doesn’t go boom when burned”

If you get enough explosive burning there is a phenomenon called Deflagration to Detonation, which describes transitioning a deflagration front to a full detonation front. This process is sometimes deliberately used when using an explosive train of a series of low order explosives to build up a shock wave to detonate a high explosive main charge.

The Texas City blast involved a fire in ammonium nitrate that went DtoD.

Reporters have a tough job. In a situation where lots of stuff is happening and changing, they stock their noses in and ask busy, stressed people “Whu happen?” and frequently run with whatever they are told.

I think most early reports are wrong.

Easy target! This is a practice run by the Religion of Piece for the USA! Remember, trucks from MECCico are already driving on our streets!

Have been on those Northern Mexico roads at night. 2 lanes with overloaded trucks haulin A, disabled cars abandoned on the road - no lights. Very dangerous place.

Lots of mining in the area, reason for explosives. Wouldn’t be surprised if truck was carrying explosives AND igniters. With the low tech workers, maybe the dynamite was already rigged with igniters on the truck. What we consider “common sense” not prevalent in 3rd world.
