They heard it alright, did not like it and promptly sent it to the memory hole. Don’tcha just love modern technology? It really does prevent that from happening now.
If there is ever a big fist fight on the floor like we have all seen in so many world govt. bodies, you can be sure it will be a foaming at the mouth Dem who starts it, flailing his or her fist like a little girl and sreeching hysterically.
It’ll be a chicken fight.
This was at the end of 2005, early in December if I recall, when we first started to hear about Lard-A$$ (name courtesy of Mark Levin) John Murtha, so the Republicans decided to have a vote on it. Congresswoman Schmidt's words were near the start of the debate, it did almost get physical, and in the end, Murtha voted against his own resolution (basically the Pubs took Murtha's words and put it into a resolution and brought it to the floor), and the final vote was 403-3 against a pullout. Of course, the Democrats called it a "political stunt" and the DriveBy Media gave them cover.

Yes, it is coming back clearly. I remember FReeping and listening at the same time.
I am trying to remember which Dem it was that came at Rep. Schmidt, yelling at her about what she said. One of the Pubbies got in front of her, IIRC.
Oh the drama.
I just remembered the media fawning all over “war-hawk” Murtha turning against the war, and how he was the standard of how the war was going. How, if Murtha, who was known to be such a “hawk” had “suddenly” soured on the war, we must give up immediately and call the troops home.
It was such a bunch of hooey.

Good for her. She put the voice of our soldiers into the record and exposed the Rats for what they are.
This was about 2-3 years ago. I agree with her still though. :)
