They still have a long way to go.

The legislature passed the bill as they have done before, however the Governor has promised to veto it, as he has done before. Moreover even if the Governor were to sign the bill a) it wouldn’t take effect until January 1st 2008 and b) the committee that was created by the late Senator Pete Knight to enact Proposition 22 will go to court immediately to stop this, where the bill will be held up for months if not years. c) several citizens committees will also launch a referendum to undo the legislative action thereby suspending the bill until the outcome of that referendum is settled.

Let’s hope this is all correct. Homosexuals seem to have
a lot of clout in Cailfornia for a small minority.
