This article raises all sorts of questions about the IA.

1) Has the IA developed an efficient personnel, administrative and financial branch essential to operations?

2) Have they increased their professionalism to reduce unauthorized absences?

3) How comprehensive is their training program? Does it include such things as literacy training? And is there continued development training in their active duty ranks?

4) With the creation of their 10 active duty divisions, is a program in place to create additional reserves?

I suspect the AI is at least one full decade away from having the beginnings of a solid NCO/SNCO corps. No army can function to its fullest without a bedrock foundation of solid NCOs to provide the management necessary for the troops.

That the IA has gotten as far as it has, as fast as it has, is still pretty amazing, all things considered.
