It seems that affluent blacks are doing what they are doing in most urban cities. They are getting out. I don’t think the affluent are the only ones that should. Personally I think that poor minorities would be much better off and able to get a strong footing if they could escape the cities where they are kept as virtual slaves to a largely liberal establishment which offers them promises born of dependency with no hope for an independent future.
Cities are becoming more and more a place just to visit for all but the super rich and super poor.
Like my nieghbors did. They ran a small neighborhood store in the city. The guy's brother was killed in a holdup. He said, "I am not raising my children here", and moved out to the sticks.
They brought up three really nice kids, all of whom were good students, and very popular. They have grown up and married and are doing fine.
He and his wife then sold the house, and moved to a better neighborood a few miles away.
We tease each other about it, them moving away from the Trash, and all, when we see each other.
Why doesn’t the city do exit interviews? “Sir, why are you leaving?”
Or, perhaps, ask those who are still living there why they have stayed.
