This will be a growing problem. A lot of leftist radicals were brought up on nothing but hate — hatred for Western civilization, hatred of America, and a large doses of self-hate. Such people have had an identity crisis since the Soviet empire collapsed. All that hate, but what great cause to channel that hate? For them, Islamofascism is, as it were, salvation. At last one is worthy. At last all that formerly impotent hatred has a new vehicle! One might be a humble street-sweeper or a student but as a Jihadist one is above any moral law and one has god-like power to kill people on a whim. The old communists, although no slackers when it came to killing people, seem dull by comparison.
