This “censure” crap was one of the most cowardly acts of political correctness I ever saw.
It’s like the Clinton Pentagon. What a disgrace.

That said, if memory serves, Huck had no problem throwing other Marines under the bus earlier in this Haditha fiasco, so maybe he deserves censure for THAT. (Anybody - - Please correct me if I got it wrong about Huck. Thanks.)

Honestly, who more than the SecNav would worry about the pursestrings held in the hands of Congressman Murtha, the man who needs a Haditha conviction not to look a fool. What has been telegraphed to the SecNav by Murtha? What threats? What promise of underfunding or of intransigence in the funding process?

Yes, Chaplain, this is what I have been wondering about as well. Exactly WHAT is going on here--because it obviously is not any quest for the truth. What kind of power is Murtha holding over these people? Who is involved? Is there some kind of "understanding"? And exactly how MUCH tinfoil am I going to need to fashion my shiny new hat?

This is frightening that this kind of thing can happen. It's like a suspense novel.

I’m thinking email blasts to every American Legion, DAV, VFW, and AmVets email address that we can find.

We just need the right brief write-up and the right poster to go along with it.

I think that's a great idea -- how do we do it to get maximum coverage and more importantly get their involvement? I only had some limited experience with the American Legion in the 80's, but VNVets weren't exactly welcomed in the post I went to, and most of them only went for the cheap booze. [Me -- I have a beer budget, but champagne taste!] ;^)
