btw, my "deer rifle" this year will be a 150# pull crossbow, as we have a SIX MONTHS long deer (archery & gun combined- archery throughout is fine.) season & 30+ days for bear too, in some of the "over the mountain counties".
one wonders why they don't just not have a year-long open season, as many deer as we now have here.(i saw 5 does in our "front yard" over the weekend & "shooed" a doe out of the road - she was just STANDING there in the road, looking around like a "tourist" - in front of the school down the street SAT about 11AM!!)

Ahhh..yes. My preferred choice to shoot deer is a bow. I shoot a Diamond compound, and a 45# recurve. Bow season starts here..the 1st of Oct. and lasts until Jan. 15th. Although Jan. is doe only.....Can't wait!!
Yes, they are pests...even where I live. But very pesty in urban areas....
Let me know how you do!! I'll do the same...

My dad is trying to get approval from the MI DNR to hunt with a crossbow during the archery season, not sure how that will turn out.
I have yet to take time to go hunting down here, been here for 5+ years. Hoping to do it this year, been invited by a couple of guys at work.
