GEE!! Just like 1941!!!!! The more things change the more they stay the same!!! I'm not the one here who doesn't understand. I understand perfectly that were the U.S. not propping up governments and deciding to try and care for the entire world's population (at least where it's expedient) that we'd be MUCH better off here in the U.S. Don't try to pull any humanitarian garbage on me either. If the U.S. were actually trying to come across as 'caring' as compassionate we'd have sent troops to Rwanda or a few other places that have been killing Christians but, NO, those countries don't have OIL so we (and the 'news' media) ignore them! Talk about hypocrisy!! This is precisely why the Founders talked about not having any entangling alliances...that way you don't come across as either playing favorites or as nation-building. Too bad the republican party has turned into blind flag-waving cheerleaders for the war machine. Go watch a video called The Money Masters (available on both GoogleVideo and YouTube) and then get back to me (in about 3 1/2 hours)....
How important is oil to the continued functioning of our world economy? What would a world wide economic crash do to your lifestyle?
Russia
China
Nuts with nukes
One of these groups will influence the Middle East or we could have a military presence in the Middle East. Should we be so dependent on this resource? Hell no! It’s pretty stupid actually and we’re not going to turn it around in a couple of years.
Where does that leave us? Oil is a strategic weapon that can be used to harm us and the world in a big way. What will Ron Paul do to prevent this weapon being used against us? Write stern letters to Al-Queda and Ahmadinejad?
Wow. No blood for oil is the meme now.
Sounds familiar...
Tell ya what, when you stop driving your car, shut off your power and get rid of plastics, ping me and I’ll make time for the monkey movie...
I’m sure that neither of you would act like the Ron Paul supporters at the Texas Straw Poll. You wouldn’t sit in public and refuse to applaud when our troops in Iraq are being praised as their successes are named. Or refuse to applaud when the speaker calls for victory for our troops. You wouldn’t stand to cheer when Paul encourages same sex marriage and turning abortion “back to the states.”
There are consequences to aggression and fraud of the sort that Saddam committed against our Nation. Enforcing those consequences is not aggression.
