We actually had many people like Schumer during WWII who loathed our troops. They were called Germans and Japanese. Today, they are called Democrats.

Actually, they were called Communists (and many of their survivors and descendants are dems today) and they were staunchly opposed to the US entering the war, until Hitler broke his pact with Stalin and attacked the USSR. Then they got all interested in fighting the NAZIs and Japan, and supporting our troops and the war effort.
