I never believed there were any defenders! 99.9% of freepers said they simply didn’t believe she was kidnapped. Based on the FACTS, how can you blame them?
Look-—it’s been a year, no investigative report has been issued (we have the best investigators in the world), the Major never went to the White House to get the Air Force Cross (and you can bet Nancy and Hillary would be there) AND they have retired her with a full medical pension without a medical line of duty determination. I don’t wish to impugn upon anybody’s integrity or veracity BUT the facts are the facts.
It would be politically incorrect to investigate and prosecute a female member of the military unless it’s a real nutcase like that totally unsympathetic female soldier from Abu Graib.. The panty-waist Pentagon is not about to do anything politically incorrect.

I started a couple of those threads, and there was a lot of outrage that this fine, female heroine could be disbelieved by a bunch of knuckle dragging male chauvinists.
I have followed the case every since and hoping we could get a new thread started to update everyone.

Look, I’ve served 24 years in war and peace. I would like to know the truth. After all, we the taxpayers paid Major Metzger’s salary, her hospitalization, her medical retirement, her grand jury appearence, her time away from work (AWOL) and her undisclosed investigation by the FBI and OSI.

The first question is “if you are so infirm/sick/wounded that you needed to be medically retired (without a LOD determination) then how are you able to enter a marathon!?
That’s the first question. But the news media doesn’t know how to ask questions! They covered this story until it pointed to official corruption and then they dropped it. Why? How many millions did this cost the taxpayers and why no explantion!? The taxpayers pay and pay but yet are told it’s “none of their business—it’s a private matter!” The arrogance and hypocrisy reminds me of old bozo bubba Clinton his sex with Ms. Lewinski in the oval office was a “private matter”—even though it occurred between to public officials in a public office on public time!!
so, without proof, maybe we should back off on this woman....afterall, lots of people get away with lots of stuff in the military....just look at JFreaking Kerry with his purple heart for the sore finger ....
I am totally against civil service pensions because I think they are given out too early and are far too generous, and especially this type of "disability" but frankly, I see it all the time.....people getting a full pension for some obscure reason....

We are all ears! Enlighten us! Speak! Tell us why all is well with this rotten putrid case of corruption and political correctness run amuck. Tell us why the troops should just turn a blind eye and deaf ear to this!
Where are these dissenters and naysayers now? Why do they hide? I would especially like to hear from ANY senior officers, criminal investigator types (FBI, OSI, NCIS, CID) etc.
