But the press handed the most effusive praise to John McCain, the 2000 New Hampshire winner who has struggled of late. Not every shocking since the media IS the McCain base

McCain "stole the night," wrote the Washington Post's Chris Cillizza. What color is the sky on *his* planet?

Your alter ego, perhaps? Funny, but “both” of you compare Fred Thompson to Bob Dole.

"There's not much there. That's what makes me nervous," said McAuliffe who remembers toiling for Jimmy Carter when he was trounced by Ronald Reagan. "I'm never underestimating another B-Movie actor."
You know, time was when I'd get upset at the arrogance and condescending attitude displayed by that statement. Not any more. I've learned that one of the most valuable assets you can have is an enemy that has contempt for your abilities.
I don't believe the "I'm never underestimating..." crap - just the statement itself shows his bias and attitude.
Get ready, Terry, for 8 more years of a Republican President.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
For record...Terry’s quote is to try to get Republicans who are gullible to think they “fear” Fred. You will see the media will push Fred just like McCain in 2000. The media are professional marketers like myself and whoever they push for the Republican is who they want...and they only want someone who is more likely to lose to the Democrats...simple formula..whoever media pushes reject...and whoever they attack accept...

My barber told me today that he thinks ultimately, the two candidates will be Fred(R) against Algore(D).
He thinks the Dems will dump the Hildabeast, once they realize she is just too disliked to garner enough votes to win.

Reagan had a huge record. The B actor dig was totally bogus.

“There’s not much there. That’s what makes me nervous,” said McAuliffe who remembers toiling for Jimmy Carter when he was trounced by Ronald Reagan.”
“There’s not much there”—this criticism from a party who’s #1 nominee has less than 2 terms in the Senate and the #2 nominee has less than one term??? Oh, and the 3rd nominee is a trial lawyer who cannot get elected in his home state.
I laugh in your general direction, Terry.

Who cares what Terry McAwful says?
The New York City-based Transport Workers Union of America endorsed John Edwards this morning, calling the former North Carolina senator the most electable of the Democrats.
The most electable Democrat is the only consideration union goons and Democrats in general care about.

“I am certainly not disrespecting them,” Thompson said of his ‘08 rivals while appearing on Jay Leno’s show, “but it’s a lot more difficult to get on the ‘Tonight Show’ than it is to get into a presidential debate.”
Everytime he opens his mouth, I find my dislike for this man entirely justified.
