Tom McClintock - Property Rights --- Eminent Domain Reform Bump

It won't, and that's a shame.

Thanks for ping! I know you asked me to post a thread, but just haven't gotten around to it what with all the fun illegal immigration news to comment on.

Great to see that Tom's gonna run with this. Will really shine a light on the difference between him and the Austrian Pretender to the throne - who hasn't said zipsquat about this yet.

Guess he's too busy saving the planet to worry about Jerry Brown stealing our property.

I believe the CAGOP hierarchy thinks corporate land theft is just fine and dandy.

I understand about the numerous threads to follow—I didn’t even have time to follow up on the pending ballot measure.

I love the strategy—trying to get it in the platform! This, at the same time Arnie is trying to strip everything from the platform except “don’t raise taxes” (but fees, levies, contributions, gifts, and Mega-borrowing are just fine!).

Since the cagop and Mike Murphy worked to defeat Prop 90 behind the scenes, I think some loud voices at this point in time would be great!

Letters, email, and phone calls are in order—if anyone will listen. :-)

Agreed. They seem to have adopted the Agenda21, central planning, for-the-common-good theory of governance.

Is that a Meg Ryan impersonation?

ROFL!

We get kind of excited about our property rights out here in California! ;-)

You only need one word: Socialism.

Do you know how we can find out if local governments in California have passed anti-Kelo statutes as well? My town of Fairfield seems to be on a real land-grab lately - using public park land for condo developers - I know they’d just LOVE to take the housing tract I live in (and own) if the right opportunity presented itself.

And heck yeah vote yes!
