I too cannot stomach the gutless, mealy mouthed Republicans.
It’s as though there is a culture war but only one side is fighting.
That’s why I havent ID’d myself as a Republican since Reagan. It’s impossible for me to identify with their girlish, self castrating behavior.
Fred Thompson, from what I’ve heard from him, may be an antidote. At least he seems to have a pair.
Perhaps they are neither - it's just that they don't really believe in their party's stated platform, and only pay lip service to it every few years to trick those whom they believe to be unsophisticated right-wing yahoos into reelecting them. ;)
