Isn’t Baylor a baptist school?
Baylor University is a private, Baptist-affiliated research university located in Waco, Texas. It is the largest Baptist university in the world by enrollment. Founded in 1845, Baylor is the oldest university in Texas operating under its original name. Baylor is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the Association of Southern Baptist Colleges and Schools.

Yes, it is officially a Baptist school, but that hasn’t stopped terrible recent controversies within the athletic department.
A few years ago a basketball player was found dead. He had been shot by a teammate, and the coach had to resign after his cover-up tactics were exposed -— very very nasty business.
Also a couple of baseball players got in trouble for snatching and skinning a little cat that would hang out at a local eatery (everyone who went there knew the kitty - just a harmless sweetie.)
The faculty there also blatantly persecuted a brilliant professor who had organized an international symposium on intelligent design. They found it so embarrassing that “scientists” would dare to stray from the strict Darwin dogma.
I was thoroughly disgusted with Baylor in the few years that I lived in Waco.
