I've been a follower of the CFR for probably 5 years. My father was a member for 20 plus years. The Council is not about one world government. It's not a secret organization controlled by the worlds' elite. Membership is open to anyone that wishes to apply.

The CFR is global in nature...we live in a global society. We do business globally.

The CFR does not advocate a one-world government nor does it advocate the USA giving up it's sovereignty. I really suggest you spend a few hours reading about the CFR at http://www.cfr.org

Although my age doesn't allow membership at this time I will become a member in the future.

It’s been almost ten years since I did much reading about the CFR, and I travel too much globally myself to pack all of my once-read texts. Right now I have a shipment of 451 of my personal books in storage at the port facilities in Shanghai, China, and I’m working those through the customs procedures just to get them to my place. We have lived and labored in Asia since 1989.

I do realize that anyone can apply for membership in the CFR. I was a member of the IRI (International Republican Institute) for some years. But I’ve done substantial reading on the CFR, and, NO, not all from the John Birch Society, but from varied sources. I believe that there are upper echelons of those kinds of organizations (I'm not necessarily referring to the IRI) that are secretive and have views and intentions not consistent with American national sovereignty. I don’t believe they would discuss this on their web site. and I believe that people could be life-long members, even contributing members, and not know of much that is happening at the top.
