Again you're disagreeing with the aspect of the government. But it was a representative government

Chavez was ‘elected’, as was Saddam. Are those ‘representative’? Is there freedom?

It was as representative as the Politburo represented the soviet citizens. The Weimar Republic (which is an incorrect term, it was actually the Deutsches Reich) The Deutsches Reich was a military government headed by the OHL (Oberste Heeresleitung) who basically changed their name after WW1- but still contained the same players. It, on the outside, disguised themselves as a parliamentary democracy, but even under Reichskanzler vonBaden was run just like the Oberste Heeresleitung. (This was after vonBaden installed himself in Wilhelm’s seat.)

For all the titles they put on themselves to appease the west in their surrender terms from WW1, this time was almost a Medieval monarchy.
