Have to give Hunter another look here in Iowa. He was basically not around for the Straw Poll, but he seems to have the tools needed.
I think people will grow tired of Romney’s bs after they hear him. Paul is certifiable (looney). McCain is to establishment. Tancredo right on immigration but probably not the uy to carry the mantle. Brownback, just doen’t seem to have the core needed.
Rudi has baggage.
Right on every one. The problem is, there is no one top tier who I think can win. Like you said, Rudy has baggage, Mitts full of bs, McCain is establishment. Perhaps Thompson.
I also look at the wives. Like it or not, the wives are a big piece of how the candidate is percieved. Think of the damage Theresa did Kerry.
We can’t have any weaknesses because of the extra push the MSM gives Hillary.

Hunter has always impressed me, I like Tanc alot as well and have contributed to them both...at this point I’d take either as a VP for FRed. Or at least in his administration (SEC-DEF and DHS).
