He ran as a Republican and had a Republican team. What happened after that is another story. The plain fact is, these guys are experienced Republican operatives who have a proven record in a specific style of campaigning. They are not policy advisers and the plain fact of there being a gulf between FDT and AS on issues such as Abortion is more than enough to show that fact, at least for those without other agendas.
