I understand. But Craig still needs to go. His mishandling of this whole mess has been absolutely mind boggling. The damage has simply been done. His successor has been selected.

Rule # 1 for effective damage control : NEVER plead guilty to anything. Like I said, on paper, the case against Craig was tenuous at best. Yet he came back and voluntarily entered a guilty plea two whole months after the fact. Insane.

Rule # 2 for successful damage control : HIRE A FIRST RATE LAWYER/LEGAL TEAM AND LET THEM ARGUE ABOUT THE CHARGES WITH THE D.A.'s OFFICE. Tons of Hollywood celebrities have enough sense to do this. Yet a man who's been writing laws in the United States Senate for the past 17 years couldn't figure this out. Unreal.

HIRE A FIRST RATE LAWYER/LEGAL TEAM AND LET THEM ARGUE ABOUT THE CHARGES WITH THE D.A.'s OFFICE.

In thousands of cases, the accused is advised to pay up, reason being is that the cost of defending yourself far exceeds the fine.

Another reason is, if you want justice, the last place to expect it is in court. Too many things go wrong with the greedy justice system, trial dates delayed, and the MSM making a killing on it all.

Could be Craig made the right decision in lowering the charge and getting it over with. But now push has come to shove, and he says he's innocent, they have to prove him guilty. That's the system, and I don't deny him his day in court.
