To some extent, I might agree — but I have seen some real action where I live here in Taxifornia...we even got a couple of the really bad flaming libs thrown out of a middle school. But it takes a fight. And we fought. And it took threatening to vote down ALL SCHOOL BONDS and that got the attention of these featherbedding Stalinists that are running the state education system. You can fight and it can make a difference -— regardless, if I had to educate my two again, it would be in private schools 100%.

Well I sympathise if not empathise with the high prices, but it’s all kinda relative. Maybe back in the olden days when they had state paper that was better - one couldn’t plop down in Minnesota with them high falutin’ California dollars. Or maybe they could, since they were pulling boulders of gold out of the streams. Hm. At any rate, the boulders are long gone, lol.
