While on Plavix, I bled out my nose, ears, gums and everywhere else imaginable. It was awful. Teeth brushing was ... astonishing.

My sincere sympathies. Hopefully the next few decades will see the kind of leaps and bounds in medicine that we've seen in other technologies recently.

The group warned that eliminating use of the stents would force some patients to live with untreatable chest pain.

They are not eliminating the use of stents. They are not going to use drug lined stents.

Yup, and my point. The GOVERNMENT created the situation. The path to real health care reform must start by fixing the government that made the mess.

You may want to give that some thought. Try it yourself. Go into a doctors office or hospital emergency room. Pick a patient and pay the bill. The costs will not go down an iota. Payment methods do not affect supply of goods or services.

Both Democratic and Republican proposals for health care reform are really to keep a campaign cash cow alive and thriving. They may as well be selling snake oil.

You know what I mean. A third party payer doesn’t care how much it costs since he’s paying with someone else’s money.

And I agree with you 100%.
