Sorry, I should have included the other research I did on this....

“But principal Danny Teevens said the cupcake ban has been the difficult to swallow - for students as well as parents, who traditionally treat the whole class to frosted delights on their children’s birthdays. “

Note, “the whole class”

And I love this princpal for this simple quote...
“I’m going to get some headaches over some of this,” Teevens said. “Some parents will come in and whine. But quite honestly, we’re here to educate kids, not to throw birthday parties”

It’s not a ban on cupcakes, it’s a ban on unhealthy treats to the whole class. I lived that crap and I appreciate what they are trying to do. School should not be a constant party.

Yes..you would love the dismissive attitude of an authoritarian who could obviously care less about how the parents or children actually FEEL...

It’s for their own good....

Yes...we’ve heard that before...

No...school should appearantly be a gulag...

I notice you didnt include this quote:

“Parent Yvette Vasquez supports healthy food - but acknowledged that her 7-year-old son was sad when he didn’t bring treats for his classmates on his birthday last month.

“He thought it was the worst birthday ever,” Vasquez said.”

How proud one must be to piss on the simple pleasure of SHARING stuff with your classmates...

EEK!...the evil cupcake!

And you didnt include this either:

“Fearing a broader cupcake clampdown, the Texas Legislature passed a so-called Safe Cupcake Amendment in 2005, giving parents the right to send treats to class. Politicians passed the law after a school banned a father from delivering birthday pizzas to his child’s class.”

GOD LOVE TEXAS!!!!!!
