Your dad is most likely right. Problem is, his advice doesn't apply here since Giuliani represents an incremental defeat or, at best, a pyrric victory. We win too many battles like this and we will lose the war.

Bush is unpopular with the Repub base due to his liberal/Dem policies and stands.

So, Rudy, who is even more Liberal, is going to be more palatable?

Sounds a lot more of “out of the frying pan, into the fire”.

And a liberal like Rudy who runs right to get elected, won’t then return to the left?

Think Bush would have gotten elected or even re-elected if he had campaigned on his illegal amnesty or his “lets merge the USA with Mexico and Canada” desires?

“A Mexican truck in every town” or other catchy slogan?

Nope, Bush would have lost the election running on Liberal planks as he now likes.

Rudy will most likely go back to being a RINO.
