“Mrs. Clinton, who gave $23,000 of Mr. Hsu’s money to charity . . .”

This sounds very strange to me, I mean, that she gave this money to charity. What if that money becomes evidence in a criminal investigation? Will the charity recipients have to forfeit that money?
